Welcome to the gorgeous Big Island wedding of Ceara and Connor at the luxurious Fairmont Orchid on Hawaii Island! This wedding was so much fun for our team to plan, coordinate and photograph. The bride chose lush florals, pops of color and elegant, timeless style for her wedding day. We started the day with getting ready photos and video in the bride’s suite. Joined by her energetic bridesmaids, they toasted to the big day with champagne and strawberries. The mother of the bride and bridesmaids helped the bride get into her dress and we were ready for the first look! Connor relaxed in the billiard room at the Fairmont Orchid, and played a few rounds to unwind before the big day was under way.

First look at the Fairmont Orchid

Our Big Island bride, Ceara, wanted to have a first look with her father before her first look with Connor. We set up the first looks back to back, and both were tear jerkers. Her father was amazed at how gorgeous Ceara looked in her Pronovias wedding gown. The bride and her father had a few great hugs, and we were ready for the big reveal to the groom. Connor shed some tears seeing his beautiful bride, and they shared a few quiet moments alone before heading to the ceremony site at the Fairmont Orchid. We stopped at bridal falls to take a few bridal party photos, and left for Turtle Pointe.

Ceara and Connor chose Turtle Pointe for their Big Island wedding ceremony. They loved the lush grass and oceanfront location. They chose classical musicians from Magic Strigs to play “Can’t Help Falling In Love” on the cello, violin and harp to serenade the bride’s walk down the aisle with her father. The ceremony was magical. Big Island Officiant, Mike Eicher, led the nuptials, and the bride and groom laughed, cried, and also exchanged personal vows they had written. They chose a gorgeous circular arch created by Grace Flowers Hawaii. The extra Phalaenopsis orchids and jewel toned colors were stunning! The weather was perfect, with light breezes with ocean views. It doesn’t get more beautiful than this Big Island wedding location!

Couples Hawaiian Wedding Photos

After enjoying cocktail hour, the couple headed out with Dawn Eicher Photography and their video team, Kahena Cinemas. We had a blast capturing their love for one another, and the Big Island and Fairmont Orchid grounds made for a stunning backdrop. We had a peachy toned sunset, gorgeous lava rock, and white sand beach for our couple’s photos.

Big Island Wedding Reception at Fairmont Orchid

The couple chose the Italian inspired courtyard at the Fairmont Orchid to host their wedding reception. It was a perfect choice for their upscale theme. They had towering, lush florals on the tables from Grace Flowers. The water feature in the middle made for a perfect centerpiece. We added market lighting from Hawaii SAV overhead to add warmth and ambiance, and band and dance floor for cocktail hour. The day was magical! Ceara changed into her “party dress” and the party definitely went well into the night.
